60. Mega Kill

cool title for the 60th post heh...

This is an audiophile-esque favorita. No it's not, anymore.

[This Twin Tower photo has replaced a supposedly to-be-mine speaker system T.T]
Oh I'm disappointed by the PC fair at KLCC this time...the speakers and ladies are not enough. Especially the speakers..so I did n0t make it to get one system back.

Just a refresher... After 4 months my Tele is still is in one piece condition.
And look at the wire, that's so great a sight to behold. Imagine like in the studio, you have all your cables tripping each other haha.

[Twin Tower photo was unedited.]

And parking, the most expensive I've encountered in my life..haah RM11...Mega Kill!

55. The New Age Dilemma

Personal/Friends & Family
Hah, this time for certain reasons is not a good start, a definitely worst case scenario to commence with my 2nd semester at MIAT. This post is written before the Chinese New Year.

Our happiness and excitement was cut off with the cruel nature of reality. The problem lies with our house by rent. The malay proverb, "telur di hujung tanduk" (similar if this is wrong heh) really depicts our situation. No real place to stay. We are quite literally hanging in the air. 6th floor. Air-conditioned. Fully furnished with TV, water heater and table. Even good looking closets and each room a set of make-up chair and table set. Oh yeah, a refrigerator. But that's not our house. Our requested unit didn't managed to get into our hands.

That's a house he lent to us temporarily. It's been almost two weeks and he's still all-talk into getting us the house we wanted.

Thanks to the agent who really show that he is seriously into the business and does not tolerate people who do not pay. And thanks to us ourselves who just happened to trust his principles of work. Haha. Yeah, he's serious in the business, as serious as a China conman. I am not going to explain further because I had explain this thing to too many people already especially parents who were worried from miles away.

A good lesson in dealing with money and important necessities and utilities: Do it as if you have no chance anymore to get it and never give in to unforeseen opportunities(because you really couldn't expect what to come). It's quite obvious but as first-timers getting into such business we learnt our special lesson in trusting outsiders. Especially being so far away from your family and home you are vulnerable to risks and unpredictable instances. You could only have close friends to rely on.
[tension..tension. Press ball..press press! -urh he looks pale yeah sick at that time]
And luckily that agent is not a big runaway conman, because at least we still have a house to stay in for the timebeing, enjoyingly with the luxury household items. Imagine the rental.
But just at these times you would really have a piece of that menthol filter in your mouth. Inhaling without lighting just does it. I'm not prepared to get lungs cancer so soon. Good the fear of suffering.

But also at these tough times we would find time to have fun and revel in our youthfulness. Guest appearance: Mou Jian(again). This time it's scotch whisky. Believe it. The Best Bottle In The World is not necessarily the best drink haha. But Jon says the Carlsberg Gold is superb. The Special Brew has been tested and it proved to be commendable. A foot to the plain original variant.

Ok this one is so far, the one which didn't stand out to my tastebuds and throat. But the aroma is fulfilling. The aftertaste sucks...bitter as dried malt/barley brewed beer. 43%.

So we started the boozing at 12am after watching Mr. & Mrs Smith. Mou Jian even brought dj clubbing music CD for the mood and there's a song which gangsta-raps on "lu kua hami lan ciau!!" Yes, card game accompanied the drink. The mixes were Shweppes(something like this..) Extra Dry Tonic and Coca-Cola. Awful mixes! They turned out to be laughing-vomit-inducing-concoction. LOL. Panadol wasn't mixed though.

The game was chortaiti. Losers drank one-go either half or full a cap of the scotch. Lame huh but that's the limit of our tongue and throat. And stomach. It burns. But the cold air rushing in after swallowing it is what I'm fond of. The best were still the one YW brought to Genting(private edition) and the one I drank last year during Chinese New Year, Ballantine Gold 12 Years Old.

Woo. Devil's call. I'm so into breaking this one precept in Buddhism. Haha. Intoxication. Haven't been drunk and not looking forward to it. But our latest boozing activity really made me experienced real-time lagging and brain blowing dizziness. Because it's like 2-4am in the morning. The high time for being blow. So Mou Jian stayed the night with us. Great pal for fun activities. At least, we are saviours to his surrounding according to him. At least, he's not the study-nerd top scholar kind. heh. Next should be a private Genting trip. Play hard.
[the fountain spot at Alamanda]
Oh yeah, we(minus MJ) went to Alamanda Putrajaya. I did my CNY shopping there. But I'm still short of some new bottoms. Hey shopping is tedious for me as a man. I mean, hurrh..I am not as rich to get whatever catches my eye. And I think men are supposed to keep shopping as simple as possible. heh

- - - - - -

So, friends. Please be extra careful if you are already being careful and try reason with your own thinking and decisions in dealing with almost anything in life especially when you're on your own or without support. Give it a second thought, so you could at least observe where you would go wrong. Generally. Because at certain time even we're at our most aware state and feet on firm ground we just tend to take the wrong step. It could be subconsciously a temptation, greed, easy satisfaction or false empathy, hopefully you get what I am trying to convey here.

It's not that we've been deceived or cheated of our money(actually kinda). We just trusted something that didn't appear in front of our eyes. And that cost us an unceasing increasing burden as long as we are still not final with our house rental. Furniture. Household utilities. Proper living. All put on hold. That greatly affected our time and energy consumption and to add to the trouble our classes have started. It's already so hard to stagger and manage our time to go to our classes as we all have limited transportations for 4 different classes' timetables.

Stressful. I have 7 subjects now with a LAN(ciau) subject, Malaysian Studies. And a packed-cum-oddly-hours-arranged class timetable. By the way I scored for my previous semester a cgpa of 4.0-flat @#$*&^ seems lucky. Freaking scored a precise 4.0 pointer for that freaking Moral LAN subject. Stressm proves effective.

[Cruel Reality of Nature is a song by Buckethead. "The Best Bottle..." is a tagline from Carlsberg beers]
[All photos except the Label 5 Scotch Whisky and the fountain spot were taken by my friend. All photos have been edited.]

We got our house already and we've moved in days before Chinese New Year.
Just to add more, we found a used condom with watery fluid in it which someone threw out of their window or balcony onto a grasspatch.haha. It's huge. Earlier, we found the box. haha

51. The Next Seasonal Tide

Personal/Friends & Family
Hello again, the January of the year 2009. The beginning of a new year, in fact the very first week. It is also the season in the year which many farewells take place. In certain way because it's usually the time when studies start so people either leave for further studies or to continue their semesters. Looks like a fresh kickstart with smiles and serenity brought forward from the previous year. May the joy finds it way in everyone's heart.

As for me, I will make my move back to the jungle(by the time you read this, I am already there). If you haven't know I brand my place of study jungle. But this photo wouldn't make you think so. Who wants a free ride(in the dream)?
[My first photo with an aircraft. Jonathan took this photo for me]

Good luck to Ye-Wheen in continuing his A-levels for his final 6 months. Go on, get a M.D blues-style. Good luck to Cheng Yee too, at Sunway...know what I duno wat course u doing oso...so BAD of me..island people basically. And to the rest, either still at holidays or going back already or starting on a new journey I wish you HAPPY STUDYING and best wishes in you endeavours.

Oh, for Hooi and Khang Yang. Work your ass off for STPM! Just make sure when I meet you guys again, don't look like some study geek or lose some patches of hair already. To Jon, I am waiting for your big paycheck in the near future. Your turn to treat me REAL big.

So here are some photos for entertainment purpose while I could serve.

ahh..my new partner. For the time being, I am going on a solo hiatus.

[dismantling to check out the innards, that neck space does allow me to fix a humbucker heh]

[Marshall amplifier..WOW..hahah..it's so good. This unit is very simple. So easy to use.]

[This matters so much...it's a Joe Satriani product ok! Planet Waves strap]

And yeah, thanks to Hooi for bending my string like 4 notes?higher and snapped it. But new set of Ernie Ball Medium Slinky equipped its way.woohoo

The splinter that got into my palm. It's minuscule. But to take it out, it's just nice, stinging, morbid and what can say, it's for the love of pain. YW got nice amount of flesh scraped off just recently, in the swimming pool. It's just so good to see blood huh. Dig em'.
[ahha..so small only...but imagine la using a needle to dig it out, to open a hole. Astounding.]
[the piece of splinter...]

My other accounts of pain were stepping onto broken glass pieces, stapling fingertip, burning fingertip using the car cigarette lighter, hitting and getting guitar fretboard splinter into between fingernail and tip and bleed. They are accidents of course and I never(for now) would want to hurt myself like this. Also getting aircraft wiring poked into between nail and tip. So what's your style? haha Be more careful.

And my first new phone. That's Guns N' Roses. Great Buckethead guitars in it haha

So, I will be back in Penang again for the Chinese New Year. Get sweatin'. Till next time. oh yeah..gota return KY his swimming trunk which he left that day...huh so gay.
My top 2 alien-based inspirations are from Joe Satriani and Velvet Revolver materials.
~JS - Surfin' with the Alien [and his affinity for alien stuffs]
~VR-Loving the Alien

For some non-personal/stress-talk write-ups, I haven't got any good materials. No inspiration though. There's nothing much for me to "preach" about haha. Basically just plain fresh season in the year. I just have nothing at all in my head, opinions or whatsoever except a still-born draft which I need to find a suitable time to write and post.

Time oooh...this year will test my time management to the critical level. Failure of doing so spells disappointment and will only reflect my "you-still-duwan-to-change" attitude. But at least I should improve a bit on giving proper time allowances and not procrastinating on and on again. This does apply to everyone, I reckon especially with this new era and generation of youngsters having new toys and "great" lifestyle. So, back to you people..enjoy life.

38. Saw Announcement + Jungle Oddities

Personal
Behold, Saw V.
I don't get to premiere it Yw or Hooi quickly get a copy by Christmas then we'll rock our balls at midnight..

Oh ya, gona catch the coming REAL soon movie, 007: Quantum of Solace. James Bond movies starting from Daniel Craig line are my favourites...more muscle-imploding action..not romance-hairy action =.=

Ahead:
*Information on my campus life*
*Boring grandpa story ahead*
*Nice for curious friends*
*Good for keeping in touch with my sanity, tell me if have become Tarzan then someone has to become Jane from the city

I found this, on a table in one of the classes. And days after that I found another drawing..

XD the term 'jungle' here is just a mere exaggeration. But it's widely accepted by all students here at my place that this place is jungle hah. It's actually just beside the highway leading to Nilai/Bangi interchange. But the fact that if you're on the highway and you want to come here you will need at least another journey of 45 minutes that makes this place "jungle". Plus, it's situated in an area surrounded with lush forests and hills with vast size of palm oil estates.

And yes, lots of roadkills(lots of types too) along the way... And at night with no lamp posts at all which forces the high light to be switched on, it's scary..why? Because you will come across a signboard in the pitch darkness which reads "Awas:Kanak-kanak melintas jalan".

It's at least 10 minutes from any convenient stores for food or entertainment. 15 minutes from UKM. 25 minutes from Kajang. 10 minutes from Inti Nilai. 13 minutes from Nilai College. 15 minutes from Nilai Giant store. At least 35 minutes of KTM to Midvalley. Another 15 minutes to KLCC. Around 1 hour and 45 minutes of KTM to Subang Jaya(Taylors la, Sunway etc). Next destination, Sungai Wang vicinity, Petaling Street and 1-Utama.

This is the model landscape of my campus. The part behind the buildings are supposed to be hills of lush estate of oil palm trees.

It's these quasar time and distances that make us "people from the jungle" haha.

What we normally do:
~Wake up and go to class(normal l0)
~After class, back to room to sleep either to rest for another class or for the whole day
~Use the spare time to play cards particularly chor tai tee
~Go to the bathroom and mandi beramai-ramai(in separate cubicles la)
~Do laundry also together(only if class schedule permits)
~Dine at the opposite seafood restaurant(ironic, seafood in jungle)
~Watch TV there until before curfew time(by 12am)-(this one is not my group culture)
~Play badminton from 11pm to 2am(played basketball(outdoor) too but accident occured so..)
~Enjoy instant noodles together at 3am
~Continue with card game
~Life discussion chatting until 6am
~Sleep the whole next day with only one complete meal(dinner)

I thought I have done this before..never mind, this is in extra detail haha

haah I slept at 7am the other day after calling back to home to wish my dad for his birthday. Some Muslims were already up for prayers. But parents haven't wake up because they took leaves from work. And I was told that Penang was given a day of holiday for some political aim. Funny. And I woke up at 4pm. Basically, this is a kind of culture in college/uni life huh.. either for entertainment or last minute brain inflating studies.

This was the culture in the past month, which is the bulan Ramadhan.. No sleep (or short naps only) until 4am. Ok down to the Student Centre for food. At less than RM5, we can shut the stomach's grumbling for the whole day. 5am, start sleeping. If got class, wake up at 8 or 8.30am. No class, then sleep till 5pm. This was how we coped with one particular copious amount of writing assignment....countless nights... 20 pages full..for only 4 pages of task. woohoo but plain fun. and midterm...serious brain wreckage.

The hangar.

Reasons to stay in hostel(nice advantages):
-fun community socialising
-close rapport among friends and classmates
-fun group studies in anyone's room
-(if my laptop can support great games..) connect with the whole block LAN and DoTA/CS !!!
-easy for group assignment discussion
-super close distance to library or classes
-can sleep until 5 minutes before class and never be caught late
-save big money for accomodation

Reasons not to stay in hostel:
-have to be hardworking and get chops(proofs of being active in campus activities) and compete with over 1000 people who would like to stay in the hostel the next semester
-boring same old food at the cafe-need to travel out to get "extra-ordinary" food
-if your neighbours are high-tech, then 5.1 sound system will accompany your group study
-if your neighbours are dirty, the corridor is gonna smell and be dirty
-if your neighbours are thiefs.....
-dirty toilets...especially the clogging of uncivilised maggi-mee disposal in the sinks
-smelly because most people do their businesses in "sleepy mode";bad accuracy
-all sorts of jungle lifeforms residing anywhere everywhere
-boring if there's nothing to do
-gotta respect the majority Muslims of alcohol/pork/food during puasa etc etc
-gotta bear with more lung cancer symptoms..

Top reasons to get out of hostel:
-the laundry room is constantly scourged by cat shit(DAMN SHIT!) everywhere
-smell is so so so so so shit
-INTI Nilai area life is better
-food there is so different(new to me, you won't find them in Penang
..but now I'm bored already)
-got CCs
-got Cs(but most of them got boyfriends d, sigh)
-hahaha

We should be moving out in the next semester...the house is only 10 minutes away.

The hostels from a distance.

hmm...know wat, long ago we had an meeting. It's a MIAT chinese community meeting haha. Seriously, you can count the number of chinese seniors studying here with 10 fingers..we alone(sem 1) make up already 10. So the fraternity actually grew larger. Cool people, especially in aviation field we get to befriend this kind of "I love aircrafts" people...most of them are from KL so it's interesting to hear about the life in KL...especially the clubs woohoo

ok la...30 more minutes I will have a shower and go for class at 8.30am in an hour time. I couldn't sleep. Got lots of stuffs running in my head and stomach's so full from the 4am meal. Hot sun rising already and thick fogs rising from the jungle.

~Sleeping at 7am is cool. Hear the morning bird chirpings as a lullaby to sleep and forget what's up for the day because you're gona wake up in the afternoon or evening anyway. Food is just all you need after that. Forget and wither...

I told my friend about life being short and beautiful. I referred it to the life of a butterfly. It can live so long as a caterpillar but after metamorphing into the new creature it could only last a week or so.. and about one week later i saw it dead, being carried by giant ants, feasting.
[the beautiful....]

{...this was written more than a month ago...}

This is the latest you could get of me..
Cool full-face helmet but this one's too big for me. Dear someone(s), please show this to Meng Jon, I want to let him see it. It belongs to a friend and he owns a bike, a Kawasaki ZZR250 exactly the same model Jon used to ride. Gona test ride it someday at the apron.

Reap the sowed..Rock ass people.

Anyway, because the writing(about my campus life) is written so long ago, it's outdated. HAHA

Quantum of Solace 2: Heartbreak Armageddon in the process.... The Funeral of Hearts was the prequel and a pilot. ..Allahhuakhbar..

Wishlist:
1. Music rhythm, coordination and speed muscle...and patience
2. Squier Telecaster + Marshall RM380/Roland Micro RM430 (this has been a 5 years wait and it has undergone countless decrease of hope and price) [Dad..I couldn't ask for less already, I only owned by own bicycle(and an unwillingly dreadful classical guitar)...brother's laptop, handphone, playstation(s);time for my own electric experience! Mum, sorry I sms-ed so/too much.] T.T
3. Time management skill
4. New girl friends ~hahahaaah hopefully some neighbours/apartment-mates.
5. More time to spend with friends back at Penang. It's been losing so much abruptly. Life is definitely in its radiant eclipse at the moment..slow burn.
6. A healthy lifestyle(minimum level) and of course good health and safety
7. Make sure my family and friends back home are happy, safe and healthy.
8. Make sure my foes forget me.
9. Make sure girls don't miss the chance to look at me =.=
10. Make sure I don't miss the chance to look at girls(not the one at my campus) due to shorsightedness/non-observant-ness
11. Ok..final, I wish to make people happy and happy...

They are in no way of any priority order.

18 years of kick-ass life. Dedication of some new songs to myself and the people back in Penang(in the filefactory) hehe and my first time celebrating not at home without my family.

[song title word usage from Avenged Sevenfold - Radiant Eclipse and Atreyu - Slow Burn]

After this, it's City of Evil and then the Bat Country!YEAAARGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH!
{I'm heavily listening to Avenged Sevenfold, Atreyu and Bullet For My Valentine, need more BFMV though hah but yeah, Hooi I'm starting to going through the songs you gave me many months ago}

It's the blues re-evolution time. Get ready.

(Tiger Beer time...)

A week ago, I arranged a dinner meet-up with Mou Jian, who is studying in INTI Nilai. That was the second time we meet. This time, a planned drinking meeting. We brought the vodka bought earlier by a friend/course-mate from Labuan(tax-free:whole lotta cheaper fux).

And so after our meal, we do the boozing. Left maybe around one quarter of the bottle. Let MJ try the wickedness of ultra pure vodka, which tasted like Scotch. The mix of the night was 7-Up. And then 3 persons got their face red. Me, being the "khekhiang"("berlagak") attempted a pure one-go bottoms up drink. It totally burnt my whole airway and the whole torso. Vision lagging occured minutes later to everyone. Haha, a mild one this time..unlike the first time 2 weeks ago which was followed by heavy head and dizziness. MJ enjoyed =D

Hostel room activity followed up. Card game and C&C Zero Hour LAN, 4vs4com. TOtal Body Annilihation. Brain wreckage also...of not studying at all. :s Nevermind. Body relaxation comes first..hehe

hmm..lyrics-writing have been coming back to me,after a two-years hiatus.

-- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- --

On Saturday, I met up with Jason Teo who is studying in UTM for a Diploma in Aeronautics. My J-brother who is going to be in the aviation industry too. aha, I will have a post on this friendship thing.

Oh back to that, we and my friends from my study place actually blazed 6 shopping centres in one day. I think, it's more owning than women. First place being Berjaya Times Square. Then some gadget shopping at Lowyat. Lunch at Sungai Wang. A walk in Lot 10 and then a visit to Pavillion. Finally, bowling at midvalley. Spectated an underage(maybe around 12 years old) group of girls partying. Hot. I mean, they're dancing. They're really high. Non-stop. Fun. Rich kids.. And then a couple making out and foreplaying behind us. I didn't see it, I was informed so. Good outing with Jason, happy 12 years of friendship and J-brother-ship.

9. Future Kaleidoscope

Personal/Friends & family
hey MIAT member, this is dedicated to you and all the peeps studying there.
May 8th - The KL Day
I followed Jonathan down to Kuala Lumpur with his parents. The objectives are to fetch his sister back from UKM and pay a visit to Universiti Kuala Lumpur Malaysian Institute of Aviation Technology(UniKL MIAT).

Unfortunately, I went with not so good body condition which I didn't feel good about because my coughing would spread germs for the 5 hour long journey in the car and back another 5 hours. So a total 10 hours of germs congested the car with the father, mother and Jonathan and 5 hours only for his sister. I refused to see doctor u know...want to see how independent I am to doctors... but sigh, never mind, don't make mummy cry worry-go see doctor lo today. As expected and usual, inflamed and swollen throat and tonsils. Antibiotic-ANS

Halt, before I go on... let me just wish all mothers(healthy, single, teenage, old, young, pregnant, sick, unmarried etc; as long as you've taken care of a child like a mother) HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY. I am proud to say that I bought a heart-shaped donut for my mum... buying gifts is something i rarely do, not because I don't appreciate people but I couldn't think of what to do to return favours. I fear I die not lightening up hearts.

This place is 15km northeast of KLIA. It is also around maybe 15-20km from Kajang, the nearest busy town area. It's in Dengkil district in Selangor. Ulu, you would say. Surrounded by lush forests of oil palms. Nuclear and Atom research centres on the way there. It took around 15 minutes to drive out from this place with perfect no slowing down traffic. No lamp posts. No reflectors. Imagine driving at night, so I name the place the ulu twilight. Interesting, I saw a banner promoting an entertainment centre with jamming studio with a direction. But that direction points to a small road down the barren grassland and cross a river and into the forest. I guess we can jam Guns N' Roses' Welcome To The Jungle song there.

I have nothing much to elaborate about that place though it's a nice place. I am. I am going to study there. I will have Mr. Jonathan Lim as a friend there who is also a part-time HG(tahu-tahulah apa makna di sebalik perkataan ini) which is a good thing. Ok 15 seconds tribute to my friend here, I knew him since like 8 years ago in a school bus when I was the gang leader(HAHAHA I miss those times we used to throw packets of ice out of the bus and sharing laughs with the driver). Only to find him in a same class as me in 2003 for Form 1. Anyway, it's a really conducive location to study at. Clean. Unperturbed. No noise and air pollution. No entertainment outlets. Stress-free huh...

Here I go...the stairway to my dream(note, only at stairway). So long as my eyesight and height could take me to I would still be living with the Wright Brothers' inventions even if not soaring the sky with them. The road to aircraft maintenance engineering(AME)...

Wait, look at this first. MUAHAHA. My certificate for the Hikathon. Hooi, do you want my mum to get your name onto the certificate too?
Alright, I've made a collage of photos which I took with my camera during the trip there. I do think they are little boring. heh And here a bigger picture and another one.

Great... all my posts seem to look so long with such a small(shudn't complain) layout space for texts.
