101. Kickstart Fitness + The 4th String Ensemble

Personal/Ideals
This post is supposed to be written a few weeks ago or so in the month of January. But it's mid-February already. Doesn't matter so much. But the feel is lost a little. Mundane.

So there are ambitions there are dreams there are daydreams there are goals and targets. We all have one or more. I have all but I am flexible about how I achieve. With bad discipline and irregular consistency. Wise man says, "you can't go far like that". But I want to enjoy as much living in my own most interesting ways. Successful people might say, "you ain't enjoying like that because you ain't achieving - you're just playing around - no commitment".

I was plain and goalless. I only breathed and functioned like fated. I realised fate is just a word to convince the unfortunate that someone out there caused the unfortunate. It's still a practical word but I rather not live on that. I stood up and grabbed my own puppet strings and orchestrate me myself.

But this current living ~ the 21st century modern civilisation on Earth is fast and competitive. I just started to like a couple of things/activities and it seems that the best thing for me to do now is enjoy the passion, support and take them as hobbies only. I succumbed to a lot of these lost dreams.

I would also say to myself that it's never too late to start. Yes it's never too late to start and be good in it but never in the top level. Cos like I said this current world is fast and competitive. At my age, I'm no more of that productivity/standard-be-able-to-achieve level of performance.

Cos I just started liking them it's like new found passion. But yes, it's never too late to take them up and for practise. But not of competition level anymore. I will leave that to my dreams or start my children young on them great activities. I don't want them to be idle like how I used to be some 5-10 years ago. I don't blame my parents. Parents are not to be blamed. The best thing for them to do is exposure and encouragement and that's only if they are aware of it. They are not wrong at all. The negative part is when they force, that is when they are overzealous in seeing their kids doing what they want to see the kids doing. Thumbs down.

But thumbs up for my parents for the average living (in malay, we call it kesederhanaan) I was brought up in. I get to explore by myself albeit a little too late or slow for myself. But I enjoy it nevertheless. I think having fun is the most important factor no matter what people say. It's a personal level. But let there be some knowledge and genuine passion. Not as a means.

What I meant, I really love:
1. Football / Sports
2. Playing music

I am very interested in:
3. Mixed martial arts

I am keen on/I can do it:
4. Bodybuilding - fitness

But I ain't like competing in no.4 - but Arnold is really bizarre.

Marathon is the new entry in to the category of no. 1. These are all really motivation-based activities.

Usually these activities are not to be done alone because results are vital and it's natural to compare either to a standard or your partner only we see and encourage improvements.

So yes, I will expose my future children to sports. It's a must... it's healthy and always good. Music, it's healthy and always good - certain music must not apply. Martial arts, always healthy and good. Bodybuilding, it's up to him/her after I show him/her my body lol gyahahaha.

This is the self-recorded and self-standard physical status record.

Height: 164 cm
Weight: 55 kg
Chest: 34 inches
Biceps: 11.5 inches
Thighs: N/A (nah don't really train on this - only running and simple weight curls)

Run
Distance: 5 km
Time: 29 minutes
Average speed: 10.2 km/h

Presses (for chest) - 10kg each arm
Curls (for biceps) - 7.5kg each arm
Push-ups (flat) - 21 times

(As of starting of the year - January/February 2011)

I did 1.5km runs too. The best I did during school days was about 9-10minutes. A recent record during the training for marathon I did about 8 minutes. And the most recent which was a few days ago I did ..the handphone application screwed up.

fakaladingdong it was about 7-8 minutes already after a distance of 1.4km so I pushed faster to get a better time. I swear to whatever freaking god out there I ran 300 metres already the distance still shows 1.4 and it's past 10 minutes.

I believe the application lags sometimes in the update of number. It might update when the distance becomes 1.6 or so in line with the time recorded. It's just that I want the time particularly for 1.5km it disappointed me.

This was probably my best record so far http://youareinmydream.blogspot.com/2010/11/98-progress-run-3-rekindled.html

My 2 hours and 58 minutes in my first 21km marathon is satisfactory but I am very disappointed that I took a freaking 1 hour 20 minutes for the 9.3km mark. Shame wei..own training record was so good at about 30-40 minutes for 6-7 km. It's like another 3km took another 40 minutes.

Ok end of fitness. Next up, my guitar.

I left my guitar at home since going down to KL so I've not played it for 4 weeks. But I found guitars everywhere in almost every crew room at my workplace. So, I get to play a bit of acoustic.

My thinnest string snapped and broke just after 3 days I resumed playing (got it back down here at KL after the cny fest). Got whipped while I was tuning it. Duno why maybe that part which broke was corroded thin already or just weakened by extensive bend of the part of the string.

And since I don't used to change one string only at a time I decided to change the first 3 strings instead of changing all of them since my 4th, 5th and 6th strings are still in a very good condition and I like em gauges 30 44 and 52.

So, I got this...

Dunlop Med/Heavy - Gauges 11 14 17 28 38 50

It's the first time my 1st 3 thin strings increase in gauge. I had been using 10 13 17. So I combine them old GHS Boomers GBTNT 30 44 52 and Dunlop 11 14 17 and give it a reality check.

Result:
I love it.

A broader and slightly mellow tone is produced. This in my opinion is the result of a complete heavier range of string gauge. Standard range is 10 13 17 26 36 46 I think which is quite thin compared to the ones I am using.

The mellowness is ideal as I love to have lower muddy tones in my playing, be it upbeat or dark songs. Especially metal or metal-based style of songs I like to play them in more crunchy and juicy tone. So in my opinion I can get that sound with heavier gauges.

Cos my Tele tone is already naturally thin, I get these thicker strings to beef it up. It works, at least to my ears and heart haha.

I mentioned slightly mellow because I still feel that it's quite bright which is not bad because it still sounds great in any kind of songs I try to play.

So, that's all about my 4th purchase of strings set.

80 Stairway to Heaven Denied

Personal/Ideals
~inspired by a column in my magazine with the title, "stairway denied" dedicated to Mr. Layne Staley.

This great dead man was introduced to me by The Man. He found a song which is sang by the man in Terminator 3. That part specifically is when the engine was started by Marcus the radio plays a song and he said, "..a song my brother used to listen".

He sang about the man in the box. He denied and was denied. And then he became the man in the box.

So, right. I was denied a few things. Not a big deal. Just that timing is not right.

Penang Bridge Run - 22 November - Sunday - I couldn't manipulate what the lecturers want on the following Monday....I don't want to fail and retake my subject in the next year.

Hikathon - 18 October - Sunday - ditto...same case with the freaking monday

[The tool to defy the skies. Who is there to deny your wings...]

WACK NUTS! ..you decide which meaning you would like to base on.

Yer see, not everything will come the way you want or like it.

It's alright. there's countless of things coming and going. The ones which don't are countables. Meaning, it's just so few to be compared to the good things in our life that prevail.

Unless if you're dead unlucky, yours are countless instead. I express for my empathy.

But if you do not believe in luck. Then work harder or smarter. Work your own way up.

Don't fret, everyone's through it. Just the different way and method of resolving. And the finale. For example, one dies when God loves him more so he's taken back to heaven. Some dies because Satan loves him more. Some just got into deep shit. Certain ones, they defy and deny...yet to occur.

Well, I will have a lyrics to accompany this time. Enjoy. the music video of this song has been posted before last year haha.

Ozzy Osbourne - Gets Me Through

I'm not the kind of person you think I am
I'm not the anti-christ or the iron man
I have a vision that I just can't control
I feel I've lost my spirit and sold my soul
Got no control

I try to entertain you the best I can
I wish I'd started walking before I ran
But I still love the feeling I get from you
I hope you'll never stop cause it gets me through yeah
It gets me through yeah

The feelings that I hide behind
Sometimes reality's unkind
The nightmares stalk for me at night
I dread the long and lonely nights

I'm not the kind of person you think I am
I'm not the anti-christ or the iron man
But I still love the feeling I get from you
I hope you'll never stop cause it gets me through yeah

I'm just trying to live yeah.

[Stairway to Heaven is also a songtitle by Led Zeppelin]

47. The Holiday Joy Ultimatum

Friends & Family
First of all, Merry Christmas. It's the dawn of 25th of December. Hooi, ur disappointing...sleeping wth you should be granting people happiness and be worshipped, the Jeesus.

To obliterate the murky and gloomy past...cover up with joyous moments spent together with friends and family. Back in hometown. The island. The great floating land linked by a sophisticated stand-firm bridge...longest in South East Asia right?

hang on...the writer's brain block slowly dissipating...boo. Boom.

Alright it has been almost 3 weeks since I came back from my campus. And the last written post was a tribute to Hide. The previous was just an informative post.

As you know, I've been granted an electric guitar already. ahha got photos already..

And I've done lots of activities since then. The ranked top as the most frequently done activity is(besides food) CC. Malei... It's a tour of death la.. Getting such freaky affinity for DOTA. Not just because it's a great game(interesting) but I keep playing it to learn more and more and improve and most of the time, to no avail. I'm a holy shit owning noob. Dun challenge me. Boring.

Here's a short video of my game back in my hostel room to kill time. It was a Naruto TD. Background music was actually my laptop speaker blaring, Slipknot - Gematria(The Killing Name).

Alright, so let's go. I will go through very briefly what I've done and been doing.
-Tried the guitar in different positions and styles. Getting comfortable with it. hah.

-....wait, I can't really remember anymore what I did. Let's see..there's Jason. Oh yes. I have been catching up with this long time bruddy(Jbrother+buddy) this holidays. Only that he left for KL so soon. Haven't swam with him. So I brought him out to hiking. First was the wednesday with Hooi. And then a food recommendation tour to the Argyll Road Roti Canai(RC) stall. I had earlier mentioned it as my childhood favourite RC place.

-Roti racist-roti masin-roti mini-roti dahaga-

But...it was a bad day. What a bad impression to Jason. It's so farking bad that day! So small in size and yet it tastes like eating solid sea water, figuratively...totally like salt accidentally spilt into the preparation. The worse is the fact that only our table(chinese boys) receive such small pieces of RC and they taste horrible. So we started thinking of racism. Fark. I almost vomited...like forcing 100% sodium chloride ingestion. I complained to the manager and cook. They started explaining...bla bla..ok la give chance la since I still love this place.

-did some Botanical Gardens jogging and exercising too with him and Hooi.

-Ye-Wheen came back too . Then we did our first G3 extravagance overnight. With guest performance by Jonathan. haha. It was rather a tiring night...with a late binge and booze. Heck, YW added Carlsberg into the noodle..ramen I think..kimchi-esque..ok la. Get high. The PS3 games of the night were Soul Calibur 4 (or 5??) and The Siren. The Siren is a farkup thriller horrifying game. I call it like that. Similar to the likes of Silent Hill where you brace the darkness and fear in a dead place. It's a great game, with each of us taking turns to complete the objectives. Super fun plus agitation plus fear plus 4am ambience.

-hmm..what else? oh yeah, swimming. First blood. With Jonathan and YW. Fun. But certainly cold with the morning wind chills at my apartment outdoor pool. Followed by a very satisfying wallet-blowing-jacking billed lunch. At El Mondo's. RM112 for 3 persons. wooh. 3 pizzas with drinks and service charge with government tax.

-hmmm...then? CC lo.. Eating out lo.. Garena at home lo... Basically these make up the life during this holidays.

-Should be nothing so significant anymore..so it's Jonathan's party occasion. His conceived plan of organizing a BBQ party. Exclusively for close friends and especially his loved one who came down to visit Penang. So we had fun doing disco while cooking daging(Zohan quote). Good chicken, beef, balls, sausages, corn and bellpeppers from Mr. Ng Khang Yang. The ending, the forced-to-finish-it-up cooking was ended abruptly by the tiny droplets of drizzling. CC was the destination after that. Until 1am.
Aeroplanes in the sky, landing. Big loo...wuahh...

-ok coming near to today already. woohoo..speed reading or whatever...I know not enough alluring visual-enhancing photos here.

-After the BBQ and CC, a few hours later..as in 11am the next morning, we went hiking till number 3 of Youth Park. woooh...rock climbing and rope climbing were the amusement. And there I had my scratch on my leg. I FARKING SLIPPED OFF THE small CLIFF. Funny the way i slided down. Even YW's handphone flung out of his pocket without him knowing. "kenot break one". And then lunch at Batu Lanchang market. And then CC. Serious..the same venue.

-Dinner with family at...El Mondo's. haha. Here a picture. Folded pizza..

-Swimming, this time with YW and Khang Yang. Same thing..bone chilling winds. This time the amusement was delving into deep depth of the pool to touch the bottom. YW even got his head touched to the bottom. I failed. But I managed, to crawl underwater..wooohoo..sounds fun huh.

...ooh it's bright already... 7.30am and I'ven't sleep yet.

-The Monday, 22nd. Went for dental. Given the plan of removing my braces in February. YEAH! Then to Hooi's house to kill time. Next fetch YW and Raymond. MEE SOTONG. Compulsory holiday outing and get-together lunch. With Joel. And yeah, meeting up with the arch-mouth-debating-rivals Daniel and Andrew. Proceeded to PENANG BOWL for bowling. Jonathan tagged along. Joined the organizer people, Eric, Seow, Razeen, Danial and Reshvinder(a pal who parted since 2006 for Australia).

- 23rd. Home Garena as usual..to kill time. Then the night, rockers' trip to PESSOC performance of Beethoven's 9th Symphony at Dewan Sri Pinang. Woohoo..Ode To Joy. Then meet up with Adelyn the violinist haaha after the show. Like so many bunches of PFS mates around especially the Chorus people.. Hooi wearing a T-shirt inside with the phrase, "If it ain't Rock, it ain't music", ahaha such irony. Luckily no bash up by the Jascha Shimano the Yngwie Malmsteen-huge-Conductor of the orchestra. Penang CM Mr. Lim was supposed to be there but according to my mum, he only made it to the Sushi Kin dining with the horde of Dato's and Datin's. Elite arrogant rich manifests...

---->It was a Tuesday. And it rained before and after the night. Hell yeah. Actually I was invited by Cheng Yee to Wei Loon's homecoming party. Fux..couldn't make it. Sorry dudes..

- and then....?? Nothing else. I slept the whole day as a matter of hangover...lousy driver's remorse. Then Garena gaming till like what??few hours ago. And then the writing of this post. Very meaningful life I got here.

Ok..one more picture(urh..a little dark.forgot to edit a bit). To show you my guitar, the most recent look. The Rose.

Oh yeah! One more thing. Just yesterday I had a dream. And this guy, my class monitor appeared and did something. I forgot what. I was thinking why the heck I dreamt of him. Fark. Hours later, I received a voice mail while my phone was switched off from him. A distress call regarding our practical assignment. Fark. I am the Dream sucker.

So, next big thing..hmm..
-Kerachut Hike & Beach Leisure. Who wanna go, tag along and say YES to me. Not confirmed when.
-USM Jazz performance. Hooi is in! GO GO GO! But tickets are selling like hot sex.
-2nd G3 extravagance at YW's. Live footage recording
-hmmm....around 15 days left to go back to MIAT

ok time to sleep. Enjoy your life. Merry Christmas to those who are celebrating. I'm not. I only receive presents. But my number of presents dwindled down like from having (similar example) 20 boxes to now receiving like maybe 5 or less or close to nil. Aging. Also, have a happy new year. 2009. Should be a nice year for ..duno..anything joyous. Rock on.

Next posts should touch more photos..especially my guitar and particularly my activity captures.

[The best looking food I served myself, Nasi Briani Lemak]

So, I'm back. I'm going absorb the smithereens of blowed-up shits and filter the pollution back in the island and shower them in form of confettis for you guys. You will have 4 weeks to farck me.

It's a merciless cult...people in our lives just have to come and go and leave everyone all gasping for love. It bites >.< [Song title thievery from Dir En Grey - Merciless Cult] In memorial
from the band, X-Japan.
Yeah this is a way-too-cool glam hair band.
This is a video of the same song but it's the official PV which was dated 1994

Heard of Da Vinci Code? And the sacred Black Stone at the Ka'Ba?

Then you might stumble upon the mystery of The Rose..

33. The Rain Revelation 2 + Taggo 2

Personal
I dedicate the song Avenged Sevenfold - I Won't See You Tonight pt.1 to all the sad and depressed people..I am not hoping that your situations will worsen but it's just a song..sometimes you gotta move on and let go of certain things(appropriately). Especially not holding on to something that is not doing any good right now. Just walk up and reach for better days[Goo Goo Dolls inspiration]. And I'm enjoying very much the war torn songs by A7X like M.I.A and Gunslinger..if you know/identify any more similar songs by them do recommend to me. Goodbye, I'll be away from island for another 2 months plus and I'll be BACK IN BLACK[AC/DC]!

thanks YW for this video... Hope you people would enjoy it

Endless rain endless rain endless rain endless rain endless rain but I'm not listening to the song by X-Japan..lazy...

oh, another song to add..Stone Sour - Zzyxd rd. especially with this line, "I'm still too tired to care and I gotta go..".

Songs to reflect the opening of the new path:
Velvet Revolver - The Last Fight
Lynyrd Skynyrd - Tuesday's Gone
X-Japan - Endless Rain
Atreyu - Becoming The Bull
Nirvana - The Man Who Sold The World[originally David Bowie]
Dir En Grey - Conceived Sorrow
...fux ....
and ultimately Avenged Sevenfold - M.I.A ....like many others who post lyrics..my turn.

"Fight for honor, fight for your life
Pray to God that our side is right
Although we won I still may lose, until I make it home to you
I see our mothers filled with tears, grew up so fast where did those years go?
Memories won't let you cry, unless I don't return tonight
"
~M.I.A, Avenged Sevenfold 2005

...and another part of the song was already in my sidebar.

2 weeks ago, I was enlightened, now I'm showered with rain of strength but with scars of life (but on the contrary, I'm feeling very tired now. Mentally or physical...duno..body's feeling a bit slow maybe because I drove so much endlessly rounding the island and weird enough, I knocked someone's side mirror and mine got retracted by force..nah small deal not even a scratch). Boohoo...it's all due to the people, rain, music and the guitar. 3 more months or rather 2 months and 3 weeks I will rise!!! I will storm the best of both worlds by electric. hah

The year 2009 will mark the rebirth of the star as I declared Big Bang(s) this year....self-indulgence crap.

Hooi and Ye-Wheen, await me... hopefully for RM500+RM400 I shall join in the harmonizing barrage of shreds. Abusing my finger tips actually prepare me for the tough precision repair in the aircrafts. 10 rounds in Botanical Gardens shall wait too...I will run the runway more often. Annual Sports Day 2009 also shall see another attempt by the OFA new challenger of 2008(lame enough it's me). muahah so much for the resolutions... the idea of having 20 guitarists harmonizing on stage for a tribute...could be for Joe or Clapton....and YW, you have inspired me to go back to my blues roots..

and I'm going back to the jungle soon...precisely 3 more days. Assignments/Exams/Practicals...huh

24. The Dawn to the Darkness

Stress-Talk
Let me try create something out of nothing. Fill nothingness with blankness.

hmm...brainstorm. headbang. fresh air.. music....free time

Ok, this will be a short one if I couldn't.

I talked to Jonathan about the zero state or zero level neutral condition. Which God knows what's this is about.

Let's say. If everyone becomes good people and there's zero vices. Sinless. So the world turns good. So good becomes the normal level. The neutral. Like nothing. Let's mark it as zero. So like I mentioned before on the relation with Integers in Mathematics. Zero is now the goodness. I stated that it will go up or go down from there. I just don't know why, I didn't think well enough(as usual) perhaps. When Jonathan says, ok let the world continue to go up in positive numbers. It struck me in the pancreas. He means letting the world do better and better and be greater at being good. At that point, I just suddenly stopped dead at my thought to stand for my principles. Hmm..I think and think and I agreed that time. But I kinda deny that the increase that is higher than the zero level leads to something else. It might not be good-er. So what? There's a miscalculation and lost of thought in this matter. I gotta sit back and relax, unwind recollect my thoughts and analyse. Hmm...haven't done laundry in 3 days.

Ok, back to quotes and prophecies... I watched Batman(on the premier day). Commercial title is Dark Knight. Snippets of spoilers here.

Let me talk a bit about my surroundings first. hehe, my first time in fact having movie-goers beside me getting so moved and emotional besides laughter. There's these people around me who kept uttering, "shit!", "oh no!", "shit" and more "shitt". It's normal actually, I have seen my aunts all scream and begging for God's mercy for the hero in the movies, and a senior schoolmate communicating with the characters in the movie like, "watch out! At the back of you!" "NO! TURN RIGHT!" "ah ur leg!" "hit him harder!" "GOSH! YOU'RE SO DUMB". Back to the Batman. Because there's scenes which really threaten audiences to curl, pray for forgiveness and ponder whether the killing or hurting will take place. In the end,[spoiler] most of the hurtings happen for real. So to me, this movie is violent but erm..but not gory. Just a little sadistic and satirical. Ah, just how great the acting of Heath Ledger(R.I.P.) for the character The Joker. Pure awesomeness. And Christian Bale trying to sound like Corey Taylor in Batman suit. Lots of surprises in this movie. Just pure greatness. Being a realistic humanoid superhero movie, this is a great action-movie for me. The other would be Indiana Jones in this year. Other super great special effect action-movies for me are still Transformers and the new ones are Ironman and The Incredible Hulk. HULK SMASHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

So in the movie, there's this quote: You either die a hero or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain. What's the point there? The magnifent two-face ever changing world. The perception of people. The thoughts alike. Sometimes you do good but you are blessed wrongly, short-termed. But some bad guys really live forever with good blessings. Let's not talk about afterdeath or life. What The Joker does is really similarly of Goth, if according to YW's post. Non-mainstream conformist way. The unidealistic. Do what's right and fun for himself. But of course, Stressm objects to his deeds in instigating and killings. But by watching the movie, I developed a sense of empathy for him. I also feel what he is doing serves mankind right. Sometimes there are just these kind of mavericks who try to show the world a different path but too bad, the mainstream view the move as "illegal".

Same to my brother's conformity with Karl Marx's Communism ideology. Is it an ideology? Same thing again, it depends on how you accept them. I do not really believe there's right or wrong but it's subtle. Absurd at times. Or sometimes people just use the wrong method with the wrong tools. But that's also the maverick's way. You use fund-raising activity to help create awareness towards some peace work. The maverick might use fireworks and display of bloodshed to cease war and promote peace.

Greed sometimes or at all times plays a part. For an example, you would want some part of the profit or credit gained. haha but Batman doesn't, really. He endures it. And that is why he is the Dark Knight.[watch the movie then you will know wth i just mentioned]

"WHY SO SERIOUSSS?!" ~The Joker

Ok, new thought. (not bad..maybe it's music that keep my brain generating new ideas..just listened to Avenged Sevenfold's Seize The Day guitar solo).

This way. Take Batman. He fights crimes. He tries hard to reach the zero level. So let's say zero level is attained. Which means he is no longer needed? Or he is the new deal to the cops? The movie targets him as a law breaker..some kind of Hancock? By the way, Hancock movie is really inspirational. Batman, gona be the new villain? That's the point in that zero level theory. When the "bad" extincts, the "good" becomes the bad in order to restore to good. Any idea what this explains? I feel this agrees to the principle that higher or lower fluctuation from the zero level leads to something else. And it comes back to the cycle principle. Take this, when you are bad, you will want to be good. When you are good, you do something bad and you become bad.

Theoretical.

SUbjective. Big Banging.

My belief: Take this life as neutral. Then you screw, you do real bad stuffs like killing and raping. Next life, you suffer and suffer bad fate as a vengeance to your past life and then you repent. In the following life, you lead a poor life like a new beginning. Next life your life turns back to neutral. So the cycle of life goes on. However this is not in line with or being taught by Buddhism and in Karma, though it's similar in the sense of cycle.

It takes free time and twisted neurones to come up with these ideas to write.

Sucked. Absorbed. The by-products are to be expelled soon. 2 hours of blogging two posts..and Jonathan has continued his nap. But I didn't post this instantly.

Cheers. This might be one of the very few last large hours of free time I am going to have... Savour!

Back to jungle life.

22. 3rd Big Bang: Farewell & Road to Nirvana

Personal
The Last Song.

Load it then reap it. A tribute to Hide and the Dir en Grey hardcore supporters.

"SPARK AND SPARK" ~Kyo

1st Big Bang: The one scientist gave a theory basis.
2nd Big Bang: The one I initiated to ignite the barrage of all mysterious, exciting and depressing events starting 2008 A.D.
The 3rd: An ending leading to a new beginning

So much for an ending here in my home sweet home. Though it's only a few months away from home with occasional breaks one could not help but to feel sad and missing many things. It starts with me. I am the one gona leave. Jon as quoted, "it's different between being left and to leave someone" almost made me shed my 'bros over hoes' tears. With the mention of "12 years of knowing each other". I tell you a year of deep understanding and having fun together could already do the magic of friendship. Therein, an attachment is born.

So guys, no matter how many years, 5 years or 3 f*ing preaching years or what. Friends who exist as friends who are branded friends with the objective of being friends are friends you have around now. Leave or being left, I try not meddle with that. But I would just like to express, the most heartfelt and warmest gratitude from my heart and brain and body to you people, friends.

Precious and quality time together, they matter the most. This is what differentiates the feeling and meaning of leaving from other events. When you are far away, you couldn't meet so easily and there is the string of friendship that stretches when contacts get further from each other. So you feel the tension, the extension. And relationships often fades people forget about each other when you do not tend to the string regular enough, the string loses its elasticity and drops loose on the ground like that therefore you don't even feel the missing or close contact you once had.

So much for another beginning. Yo, close friends, enough of "asshole-banging" these few recent days so don't bang extra into yourself lest you bite them off. I don't like seeing men weep you know, the sick korean dramas are portraying men as meek and soft big-babies, furthermore they have pretty faces. Urh. Handsome friends, don't. Pretty friends, don't. haha. And don't make me do it either... heh. Guns N' Roses sings Don't Cry.
Genting 07 - Those were the extremely fun times together [clockwise from top: X, Ye-Wheen, Quan Yu, Khang Yang, Jon & Hooi]

So, I stop acting and sounding as if I am going to space and not coming back.

JKJK Hike - The rainbow of homesapiens. Cheers and good luck in the school exams [from left: Kai Wen, X, Khang Yang & Janina]

Genting 07 - Stick together team! Andrew's the one with cool shades and Jonathan is at top leftmost.

I summarise: We had YW leaving us as early as January to KL for his Taylor's A-levels. Then we have Joel to 'exile' in NS. Jon, Hooi, Jona, Ky and I all went to offer our services to the society by working our ass of for pocket money which eventually went into the CC, arcade, GSC, Subaidah, many restaurants and for some, ahem, treating their female colleagues. So "kais pagi makan pagi, kais petang makan petang". Then, one by one of us resigned to start our search for education, but for some of us it is hell looking for the suitable course that is within our area of interest and of course, budget. It is not easy. The most free three musketeers that were Jon, Hooi and I went for a regular fitness building stint at the Penang Hill and Botanical Gardens. A free sting by an unknown insect too that hurt like being jabbed for me for no apparent reason. And training for our Hikathon event too. Nice participation.

Tell you what, pleaaase try to hike up early and come down early before night falls. We went through this experience and we can tell you how the lost hiker who was found dead after a few days felt. Yes, we were caught under the dark skies and dense jungle after not making it in time to descend TWICE! No la, we didn't camp we just find our way through the trees with a puny torchlight which Jon brought and luckily he knew the way down from Youth Park no.3 onwards. We were super horrified(we may look macho under the sunlight but you will not imagine how "chicken" we were in the jungle). BUT, we still managed to have fun like take ghostly photos and wasting time capturing the night life scenery. Another encounter was trying to reach point 84 before the paths become really invisible, it was going to rain too so no moonlight. From 84 it started raining so we ran, jumped, fast-walked, slid, fell all the way down using the tar road to Botanical Gardens. The next day, limping with strained knees. Ah, that's all for too much about our jungle boogie.

Then, it was around in April already(heh only 3 months ago). Oh, Mr. Andrew Ling's turn to leave the fellowship of the Singles, Virgins & Unemployeds. He left to Singapore for some Ah Beng objectives. 2 musketeers joined. They were Khang Yang and Jona. Yes, they just fired their bosses but I can't confirm whether they their single status and virgin-being. Movies, food and CC were our activities. 2nd time of Ye-Wheen's return to Penang and that's when we went to overnight as storytold in one of my earlier posts. Before he leave again, we all went to Pantai Kerachut, yes also storytold "recently". Nothing much have happened lately, just plain outings with food and games. The horny buggers went back to GSC to work, hopefully all their wages don't end up in their girlfriends' stomach again. Hell ok, the helpline password "wa bo lui" is a sign of distress when wallets get metabolized. KY on the other hand joined the unforgivens of Form 6. Most people were already enrolled and studying. What do you think of us? Shaking leg is the new niche.

In June, the people were back again. Ye-Wheen and Andrew. A short break. Even Hooi, hah one the original musketeer. You are the first to break free from our hedonistic cult. Nevermind, I am sure your dead damn stout rocker instinct will save you from being a Disted Boy. You know, pig-dogs. Yaha, after due consideration Form 6 abruptly became your place. Hell yeah, Wei Loon's going to the United States of America the future place for Barack Obama. Illinois to be precise. Without you, I am without the Admin section last year. Best wishes. Jon, another F6-shock-cult is also in Form 6 now... stay cool, your turn to whip outstation-ass will eventually make itself present unless Form 6 breathed new life into you. It's just a matter of time right and an in advance wish of good luck in your upcoming application.

So, the final chapter...my turn. Jonathan and I will leave the pack to KL. The Next 1 week break is in the end of August. If you are reading this on Sunday July 6th I am already registered into my universi..colleg...uni...coll...duno wat exactly it is, my new school la haah and checked in into my hostel room already. If you are reading this after Sunday, I am already enrolled, to study for my diploma. Finally huh. Well, to inform again for those who didn't know. My place, is Universiti Kuala Lumpur Malaysian Institute of Aviation Technology. Situated in Sepang. Close to Bangi and Kajang.

I will be without you all already, after so much fun we had together it's my turn to embark on the next journey. My destination: Jrock kingdom haaha. My secondary objective is to battle the all-star YW band heh. But I will go there unarmed first...lest any mishap loss of property occur in a strange new place.

From Online to Reality - XD hey Adelyn, thanks for this photo. You rily rily rily don't look bad here la. Cheers, friend.

Editorial Board 2006/2007 - Headbang days, but we still find time for quality bonding time [they are YW, Sze-Chuin, Ian, Joel, Wei Loon, Jonathan Toh, Marcus, Eric, X, Razeen, William & Kevin Seow]

Dudes and hotties, I really would like to express my regret and apologizes for all my wrongdoings and sayings towards you people. I mean, yes it's the end of a chapter and past is already passed. But I gotta bring this up, I can just sometimes think back and realised that I did utter and do silly offenses and at times insensitive. Now that I feel sorry I hope that they don't come in between our friendships. I divulge that they meant no harm in any way or just coincidentally derogatory, unfortunately. Oi bugger! Forgive me la! aiy.... =.=

Last but obviously not least, my family members. Sigh, what a great journey it was in 17 years, 7 months and 6 days of caring, pampering, feeding, educating, training and love. This does not need any Stresser talk on love. It's very cliched but still true. Love proves its existence in the actions. Dad. Mum. Bro. Aunts. Beloved late grandpa and late uncle whom with another uncle who hails from Australia who constantly generously helped us kids financially in education. It sounds like a very big deal huh leaving home to a place 350km away. Yes, I being a mummy-spoonfed-boy for almost 2 decades, am going to be independent already. woohoo.
Langkawi 06 - Itulah ayah, ibu dan abang saya. Like father & mother, like sons..

Blood, flesh, milk... & money - That's my papa and my mami.

Here's to a very last activity detail write-up. The very last. Before the whole fellowship was broken into a very small group of Form 6-goers. It was on Thursday. Had Khang Yang coming over to my place for a bath before he rushed to his Interact meeting. Then I do the fetching of friends with Jonathan already by my side at school and we went to have lunch together. Before our movie plan was a pit-stop at Hooi's home. There, I received a great treasure. A surprise. A masterpiece. A gift(wth, wrapped with ribbon but good not in pink color). Really, the word 'thank you' is not enough, not even any love-making...gay. Hooi went got me the latest Joe Satriani - Professor Satchafunkilus & the Musterion of Rock album. I owe Janicia a heartfelt thanks too for contributing in the purchase. Ah...what nice people I have in my life. Gotta appreciate people more already.. Hooi on the ribbon wrote a rather super condensed life summary of knowing each other since Form 1. Heck, I almost cried reading it. heheh.. Ok, we head to Gurney after that with KY. Hancock. Good. Inspirational. Dinner: cream, cheese, pasta, cream and overwhelmed stomach walls. Then the main dish of the farewell outing, CC gaming. Started at 9.30pm. CS. Warcraft. And Warcraft. Ended at 1.30am the next day. wouh. And yeah, driving super late at night is somewhat cool, minimal or nil traffic(hopefully no speed traps). My top speed is 89km/h. Didn't dare go any higher as I was already on the slope coming down with plenty of cars around. I will go 120 next time..hahah So that's it.
I am so happy. A good buy too, 1 CD and 1 DVD for a price of one CD

One final piece of information, my recent favourite TV show was a Japanese drama titled Attention, Please that was aired every Sunday 3-4pm on 8tv. I didn't watch it from the start but middle. This show has ahem pretty actresses-ladies. And the story revolves around this young air stewardess in training, Misaki who picks up everytime from where she falls and learns from mistakes to achieve better grades and be a good flight attendant. The show depicts the lives of these younglings who are undergoing their training stints in both the airport and in the plane(not just the cabin crew, the pilots and the maintenance department are included). So this show is cool, it inspires me and encourages me to aspire to a greater height.

hah, so fun for an ending. I was listening to Joe Satriani's Is There Love In Space album and my favourite is Just Look Up. So buddies just look up for me. I also mean, "don't look down on me!" haha. Do I sound like I am going to Mars or leave Earth for a mission to destroy some stray asteroids coming towards Mother Earth? ..emotional la...my first time leaving home u know and family and friends. Life goes on dudes and babes. This is only an opening to the new chapter of boundless oceans and vast skies.
The Aeroplane - Hopefully, I will.. in the future.

Future in the Dream - Soar, and I will bring the Gods down from above and that will be my ultmate Big Beng.

This would also be a last post. This blog is going down the memory lane and will finally meet the Gods. Yeah, just look up. It's been a hell of a great time connecting with you readers. No, not no more dreams but just for the reason I want to walk away.

That also means no more boring long posts. No more detailed outing accounts. No more confessions. No more grandpa stories for you. No more thoughts to share. No more stress to stress. No more inspirations for you people if ever any.

Merci beaucoup en au revoir

Ame.

[song title thievery from Beyond - Hoi Fut Tin Hong, thanks Yi-Wen for saving our past-we get to listen to this long lost song]

21. The Rape of Misconception

Stress-Talk
Quantum Physics

There is an update. Eric has completed his VERY COOL & LONG POST reminiscing on our good ol' mfking twisted spleen stress anorexic ass splitting Editorial Board days. The way there. And so I include that link in my recent post which has a part on it too. Cheers to the bloodiest board members ever.

[STRESS has finally made its comeback in posting something stressful but with a twist in its way of expressing. Perhaps the Friendster Stressm blog would not be continued but I think I might just use that place to relate lyrics with my views and meanings. So, as to celebrate it... The Pangea post was already a major move.(actually there were already posts with thoughts from Stresser just that I don't reveal the identity earlier. They are 1. New Blood Joins, 2. Patience, 7. Tribute to My Brain and 12. A Trip to Hell & Void]

Imagine a world with no borders.

Try not imagine.

Feel. Escape from the lies that encapsulate us. Break free from the vortex which separates our perception from the truth concealed.

"you reap what you sow"

One says it's the rule of the karma - what goes around comes around.

Hooi, remember like the games I create for you in the emails "to punish you".

I found this website somewhere someone refer the readers to to get an understanding through the lines and depictions from the life. Find some free time to read it. Nice read, really.
www.british-israel.ca/you_reap_what_you_sow.htm
This is in no way of emphasizing or embracing any religion referred or mentioned.

There are still so many examples and true or real-life depictions in explaining and bringing us closer to the saying. So don't kinda blame God or ask why bad luck happens to you. Try asking, why do the others deserve bad lucks and accidents more and not you, when you feel life is unfair. A simple answer is "God loves you more". heh

And coincidentally, there goes the saying in the movie Kung Fu Panda by Master Oogway, "There are NO accidents". Plainly, it coincides with my belief in fate and prophecies. Yeah, of course not literal and direct with the meaning from the dictionary of "accident". It just means that you really can't get oranges by accident if you planted peaches in the first place. This movie has exactly the principle to explain it.

The other way to think of it would be, to believe. Stop messing around the world and your head saying, "it can't be, it can't be... this must be a mistake". Rather, move on with it and unravel the true truth which you long to know, dying to understand it and living to research it.

The movie series of Saw has what it takes to show you the fruit of the saying. I have a twist on it, "you rip what you saw" literally, saw in the context of using the tool to cut. haha. You see, the victims in the movie were actually people who had done bad things. And the traps John Kramer set are sets that test the victims themselves on how would they feel if they were in the position of their victims in the past when they commit bad deeds unto them (anyone has a better phrasing of this sentence??) and why their victims deserved their tragedies. Actually, same goes to the "teacher"-cum-"trap-setter" John. He's punishing the people. What does it takes to be the punisher? A messiah in another way.

But you know, everyone knows superheroes couldn't possibly save everyone in the world. It's either someone saves people in New York, or Ultraman fighting monsters in Tokyo, Cicakman fighting crimes in Kuala Lumpur. Yeah, that's why there were so many superheroes, created and placed my their makers in their respective hometowns as guardians to the world.

Alright, this is the ultimate and primary destination of this post. The Matrix.
Watched it once 10 years back to enjoy it and watched it recently to understand. Superb. Very good spin-off of life. I don't quite understand it totally yet(I still have Reloaded and Revolutions to research) and I really, don't know how to relate and make explanation of it. I can't die dead enough to show you how interested I was in this prophecy-related philosophical life-blender-ing fruitcake.

Believe - This is mentioned after the citation on Kung Fu Panda. In relation to "believing", Stresser had this old post titled I Think I BELIEVE which include Joe Satriani's I Believe lyrics as reference.
(am i out of the topic?)
Yeah, everything here today, now, this very moment you are reading is related to the cases told in that link I gave. In The Matrix movie, it shows that what you believe is real and it is the truth unbeknownst to the your perception or the daily life(which is explained as "fake" and "forced-imaginary"). An example, you believe you will fall after the big leap, so you fall. You reap what you sow, in a different way and context. So you believe you can dodge the bullets and survive, you do. Neo(Keanu Reeves) done it with pride and machoness. Just, believe. People also always say "believe in yourself" so why not.

Similar kind of event takes place before one's last breath in its body in this world. You see there are so many dramas showing you people encourage dying people to stay strong and don't give up. Yeah, it really works. That's the conscience humans have. In our subconsciousness, we live and we are controlled mentally(psychologically). You believe you're going to die and end so you let go of your life. So you believe you are stronger than you think you were and opt to stay longer in this Earth, you do and you make the doctors' wallet bigger. This of course could not be applied(in our this reality) if the brain is already dead or the heart not functioning well anymore. common sense la..

More than true, the movie unveils the deception we faced within our world and the matrix. True, we're always deceived by our own perceptions. Daydreaming doesn't apply here, understood. We are merely controlled. In the brain. Thus, disillusions occur. Misunderstanding. False faith. Perversion of the mind. Misuse of the physical entity. Doomed by our visions. Because "you see what you do" and what we do is wrong so what we see is also wrong.

I had this description(not prescription for madness) for Stressm written and that's after I listened to some Buddhism talk by a speaker. It has these accounts on unrealistic desires and expectations. That's also the key to our unhappiness and ungratefulness. We tend to expect too much or assume that we can get the best or better but results don't turn out as what we've wanted and that causes unhappiness. Because we don't get what we want obviously. Reap what you sow, but let's not put the blame ungratefully to solely ourselves. We really can't tell and we're not The Oracle or Nostradamus to see the future. We really don't know well about our limits so, the oranges you plant might not grow as big as you've hoped for. But as explained, the key of "you reap what you sow" is there just that we're not omni-mind-present.

One sickening truth but it cannot be helped, humans like to be blinded. The natural blindness is already there and it leads to find better blindness. All in the Seven Deadly Sins.

So, that's it I have to say more or less in this special edition 21st post in this 21st century written in the 4am of pre-dawn of June 21st. But not posted immediately. Yeah but it is scheduled to be posted at 2100 hours of the day. What significance it has in the number 21? Dunno, just mere awesomeness.

There, another cut-out excerpt and picture I "accidentally" found in the websites...regarding Karma.
http://shyamasundaradasa.com/jyotish/what_is_jyotish/what_is_vedic_astrology/what_is_vedic_astrology_1.html
this is a bit disturbing- take a closer look they exchanged faces.

To clear up some facts. heh. I got interested to write on this just suddenly when my speaker blared "cos what you reap is what you sow!", while playing the last line from the song Wake Up by Rage Against The Machine. And you know what, this song is in The Matrix OST. The song was played during the start of the credit.

Here's the earlier mentioned extra "story-telling" which I want to include. This just has got all the examples and real-life accounts of the "reap what you sow" principle. Nicely written, with title that's totally connected too. I got this article from a forwarded email and I would like to share with you readers who are interested to spare some time looking and peering into our life for one short moment. You don't have to make any decision, just read and be amused.

Hopefully this can ignite the sunlight in some of your hearts. Some or one(particularly..) should take note and not go on acting and live a dumb life and be all f* up about others and especially your significant other, learn that you are the one misleading yourself and don't influence others to f* the way with you. Positively, I hope you close connected readers could learn one or two things and cheer up more in life.

Here it is after some minor digression.
The Law of the Seed
Take a look at an apple tree. There might be five hundred apples on the
tree, but each apple has just ten seeds. That's a lot of seeds!
We might ask, "Why would you need so many seeds to grow just a few more
apple trees?"
Nature has something to teach us here. It's telling us: "Not all seeds
grow. In life, most seeds never grow. So if you really want to make
something happen, you had better try more than once."

This might mean:
·You'll attend twenty interviews to get one job.
·You'll interview forty people to find one good employee.
·You'll talk to fifty people to sell one house, one car, one vacuum
cleaner, one insurance policy, or a business idea.
·And you might meet a hundred acquaintances just to find one special
friend.

When we understand the "Law of the Seed", we don't get so disappointed. We
stop feeling like victims. We learn how to deal with things that happen to
us. Laws of nature are not things to take personally. We just need to
understand them - and work with them.

IN A NUTSHELL
Successful people fail more often. But they plant more seeds.

When Things Are Beyond your control, here's something that you must NOT DO
so as to avoid misery in your life:
- You must not decide how you think the world SHOULD be.
- You must not make rules for how everyone SHOULD behave.
- Then, when the world doesn't obey your rules, you get angry!
- That's what miserable people do!

On the other hand, let's say you expect that:
- Friends SHOULD return favours.
- People SHOULD appreciate you.
- Planes SHOULD arrive on time.
- Everyone SHOULD be honest.
- Your husband or best friend SHOULD remember your birthday.

These expectations may sound reasonable. But often, these things won't
happen!
- So you end up frustrated and disappointed.
- There's a better strategy. Demand less, and instead, have preferences!
- For things that are beyond your control, tell yourself:
- "I would prefer "A", but if "B" happens, it's OK too!"

This is really a change in mindset. It is a shift in attitude, and it gives
you more peace of mind ...
You prefer that people are polite ... but when they are rude, it doesn't
ruin your day.
You prefer sunshine ... but if it rains, it is ok too!
To become happier, we either need to change the world or change our
thinking. It is easier to change our Thinking!

In summary
It is not the problem that is the issue,
but rather it is your attitude attending to the problem that is the
problem.

It's not what happens to you that determine your happiness.
It's how you think about what happens to you!
